a data lake with proposed CDP technology on top of it

In the last 8 years, I’ve seen, responded to, contributed to, and several other verbs, customer data platform RFPs. From all of the sides.

The scope can be amazing.

Often, in these cases, an organization requires a mix of technologies. The RFP is written for a single technology. This slows everything down, and may ultimately cause complete chaos.

“Composable CDPs” and other activated data warehouses are helping to progress a business-centric view of customer data platforms, but unfortunately most (all?) are also contributing to the definitional madness this scattered category has always been mired in.

Businesses require some form of customer data platform, and that must be built with technologies that are bought.

Modularize the CDP RFP

If there are components that we agree are modularizable, analyzing them separately is best. That’s the post, thanks for reading!
